Lipo batteries are a game changer - they offer more power in a smaller package than their NiMh counterparts, but they're not without their disadvantages. If a Lipo battery is discharged below its nominal voltages, or if the cells become unbalanced, they become dangerous and should be disposed of.

Where Lipo Alarms come into play is that you can monitor your battery's health in real time. Simply connect the lipo alarm to your battery, and it will give you a readout of the total voltage, and then the breakdown of each cell. While the alarm is plugged in it will cycle through these, showing if there are substantial changes while at rest or in use.

To set the voltage that the alarm will trigger, simply connect the battery and press the button on the rear of the unit. This will display the current setting, and continuing to press the button will allowyou to toggle through the voltages until you find the setting you desire.

Once disconnected, the lipo alarm will remember its setting

Suitable for up to 8 cell lipos, these can be used for RC-grade batteries as well as airsoft. Airsoft Lipos are typically 2S or 3S (7.4v or 11.1v). This alarm can be left connected to the battery when installed in your replica, however due to the LCD screen, it is quite wide, so you will need a decent amount of battery storage space.
