The J-10 is an AK-series rifle, based on the AK74, but with an M4 Stock conversion for greater adjustment.

One of the first things you notice when picking up this beast is its incredible weight & heft - it is rock solid, and feels incredibly realistic. This is in part due to its impressive construction - based on VFC's renowned design, it is assembled more realistic than other models (e.g. JG/Cyma etc). The receiver is stamped steel, and the outer barrel is a one-piece design constructed out of steel, giving realistic weight to the replica. It also helps with the balance of it, making it comfortable to hold in the ready position.

As with most AK designs, there's not much to say about the externals - they're not exactly known for their accessory options. That said, there is an impressive amount of steel - dust cover, barrel, receiver, trigger guard, selector, flash-hider, sight, sling loop, cleaning rod, stock latch etc. The other metal components are a zinc alloy, coated to give a realistic appearance to the replica. Perhaps the most interesting part of this AK is its folding stock - this allows you to cut its size down for transport and storage, or for clearing rooms! 

You have a removable flash-hider allowing for tracers/silencers to be attached, and you have a side-bracket to facilitate mounting a top rail (sold separately). Included in the box are 2x AK midcaps, holding 130 BB's each, with no rattle. You will need a speed loader (sold separately) to load the mags, as they're fed by a spring.

Internally is where the Edge series flex on the competition - you have a V3 gearbox with aluminium piston head and cylinder head, steel gears with plastic sector chip for more reliable feeding, steel-tooth piston, and bearing spring guide. Built for performance & reliability. Further up the chain you have a 6.03mm tightbore barrel for improved consistency and accuracy, as well as a metal hop up chamber. As you would expect from Spenca Arms, it is a quick spring-change gearbox, allowing for easier maintenance as you don't need to worry about the main spring knocking parts out of position on assembly.
