In airsoft, the mainstay (and industry favourite) is the humble AEG. Battery powered replicas, offering superb value, and unmatched practicality. AEG stands for "Automatic Electric Gun", and it really is a case of "What it says on the Tin" - they have an internal gearbox, and motor, and when you pull the trigger the battery spins the motor, allowing the replica to fire. Granted, that doesn't sound terribly exciting, however in reality, it means every time you pull the trigger, your gun fires, and you can get an impressive rate of fire (more BB's down range faster).

Internally, most components of an AEG can be tweaked/upgraded, so you can tinker and customise your replica to suit how you play. Whether you want a faster rate of fire, more responsive trigger, or increase the range & accuracy, with an AEG the world is your oyster. Due to their mechanism, they are quieter than their gas/Co2 counterparts, so you can stay hidden for longer (or if shooting targets out the back, the sound is less likely to irritate the neighbours).

The Quick Spring Change system allows for faster maintenance, and easier time for accessing key components. Inside the AETHER gearbox you have steel high speed gears (16:1), steel tooth piston, bearing spring guide, and 8mm bearings for smooth cycles, fast piston return time, and excellent trigger response. Of course, you cannot speak about trigger response without mentioning the GATE Solar Trigger paired with the factory-fitted GATE ASTER II Bluetooth ETU (electronic trigger unit) offering you unprecedented control over your shots.

Further up the chain you have a 6.02mm Tightbore barrel for unparalleled out of the box performance, further enhanced by the HELIUM flat hop up system, all housed by the TDC (top down centre) Magnus op up chamber. You also have a brushless high speed motor, which gives you the complete package.

Of course, that's just the inside, and let's not kid ourselves - the externals are critical to any airsoft gun. It can perform best in class, but if it creaks and looks like garbage, no one will want to use it. Externally the PRIME series are a cut above the rest. You have a full metal exterior, complete with scratch resistant nano coating keeping it looking sharp for longer. Each item is individually serialised, for greater authenticity. You have deeply engraved Specna Arms trademarks, and the overall construction is rock solid. The back up iron sights are removable for even more rail estate, however with the virtually uninterrupted top rail, you can already fit almost any optics setup you can dream. The pistol grip is ergonomic, offering tool-less access to the motor. You also get an included RIS/RAS angled vertical grip in the box for a more natural wrist angle when shooting.

The outer barrel is threaded 14mm CCW allowing you to mount almost any silencer/tracer setup you want, offering the widest compatibility.
