ARES Amoeba M4 Midcap (140 BB's), Magazines are critical to your pimary - without them, well, you don't have any ammo

Magazines are critical to your pimary - without them, well, you don't have any ammo. And then it's game over! The last thing you want is to run out, so having plenty of spare magazines keeps you playing for longer, allowing you live your action hero best life.

Magazines are different from gun to gun, and can often be brand specific, however there is a lot of interoperability, however some modification may be required. The first port of call is to identify your replica, and focus in on that type e.g. M4, AK, MP5 etc. Then, you have to choose magazine type.

The main types of magazine are Hicaps, Midcaps, Lowcaps, and Box Mags (or drum mags). High capacity magazines (or hicaps) use a winding wheel system to move BB's from the main channel, up into your gun - they hold an impressive amount of BB's, reducing the number of magazines you need. The downside? They make a lot of noise. Midcaps and Lowcaps are spring-loaded magazines, so they're more realistic, but by their nature, they hold less ammo. There's no winding involved, you will need to reload more often, and this adds to the realism (they're also quieter); you'll just need more of them to stay competitive. The difference between midcaps and lowcaps is simply their capacity. Lastly, there's drum magazines (or box magazines) - ultra high capacity magazines designed to transform your gun into a venerable support gun, and take on the world! They're heavier, louder, and some may frown at you for using them, but you won't care...you've got more ammo than a John Woo character!

Not all magazine types are available for all gun types, which is worth bearing in mind.

ARES are an interesting manufacturer, often working with other factories to produce guns for them e.g. S&T, STAR etc. They have one of the most impressively diverse catalogues of airsoft products, and focus on delivering superb looking, excellent feeling, and interesting airsoft models. From their infamous WA2000 sniper rifle, to the more historic Lee Enflied, the Bullpup Tavor TAR-21, and their widely beloved Amoeba line, consisting of modern M4's with Smart Control Units, or the Striker bolt action rifle series.

Based in Hong Kong, ARES have always had a passion for the beauty of gun design, and emphasis on collectability of a replica. With the likes of their Striker lineup, they produce a lot of aftermarket parts, giving you the chance to tweak and customise your gun to your hearts content. ARES also extend this to their other models, producing internals (gears, pistons, MOSFET's and more), as well as externals (grips, bipods, silencers, etc.). They are mostly known for their superior build quality, particularly for their externals, and for the sheer beauty of their design.

Manufactured by ARES, these midcap magazines hold 140 BB's. You need to use a speed loader to load them (sold separately), as they're spring loaded. This means you don't have to wind the magazines on, but comes at the cost of reduced capacity (although, 140 rounds is not exactly a game-changing reduction).

However, that just covers what it is...not what it does. This magazine is a beautiful stylistic accoutrement to your replica - modern, durable plastic, faux-bullet design, complete with integrated flip-out mag-pull allowing for an easier draw from magazine pouches (yet, folds away to maintain a low profile.

Suitable for any TM-spec M4/M16, as well as other models e.g. SCAR-L, MASADA 5.56, F2000, UAR etc.
