Airsoft gearboxes are made up of a lot of different components - over time, these parts can damage, break, or simply wear out. You can improve your guns performance by upgrading components, or fix issues by replacing worn or damaged parts. You can change your air seal (Cylinder, Cylinder Head, Piston Head, Air Nozzle) for greater consistency, increase Rate of Fire (changing gear ratios), improve responsiveness by replacing springs and trigger contacts etc. Beyond these staples, there are smaller parts that are often overlooked - anti-reversal latches (responsible for ensuring semi-auto works), shims, safety blocks, and much more.

These smaller parts are vital, so if you're overhauling your gearbox, it is worth taking the time to inspect them for any signs of wear to make sure your guns stay in tip-top shape.

The tappet plate is responsible for the smooth movement of your air nozzle. The sector gear has a little nub that moves the tappet plate, which in turn moves the nozzle. Over time, tappet plates can wear, resulting in misfeeding as the nozzle does not retract far enough, or long enough, to facilitate feeding. Replacing the tappet plate can give your replica a new lease of life. We recommend pairing the upgrade with a sector chip for improved feeding, greater durability, and reduced wear (provided you use a plastic sector chip). Installation requires complete disassembly of your gearbox.
