An AEG's trigger system is generally quite simple - there is a physical trigger, that when pulled moves a sliding contact into position between the main contacts, allowing current to flow to the motor. The trigger spring returns it to its resting position when released. Over time the trigger contacts can bend, arc (carbon), or burn away completely, especially with higher voltage batteries. To improve the reliability of this design, MOSFET's can be installed.

MOSFET's are an often misunderstood part in airsoft. Manufacturers co-opted the term when designing smart control units for airsoft gearboxes, and it has stuck in the zeitgeist. Realistically a MOSFET is a simple regulator that sits between your battery and motor, storing power. When the trigger is pulled, the MOSFET supplies the power to your motor in a more regulated manner, drastically reducing wear on the trigger contacts, and making your gun more reliable in the process.

Manufacturers started to add more capability to their trigger systems, however they're still broadly referred to as MOSFET's. This broader feature set typically has things like Active Breaking (slowing your motor down), programmable burst fire, low voltage detection, pre-cocking, and so much more.

Perun V3 Hybrid is a precisely and professionally made drop-in MOSFET system with adjustable active motor braking designed for Airsoft Electric Guns. It replaces the standard mechanical trigger contacts with electronic microswitches for better reliability and longevity. The MOSFET is supplemented with optical and magnetic sensors in the build for increased durability of the gearbox. It also adds the option of individually programmed firing modes.

With a built-in diagnostic system, an electronic fuse, and a low-voltage alarm, the V3 Hybrid guarantees extra security for incorporated electronics. The kit fits the most common V3 gearboxes without any modifications.
