Sorbo pads are used for shock absorption, helping to dampen the impact of the piston hitting the cylinder head, as well as reducing the noise profile of your AEG. Due to the reduced impact, your gearbox will live longer, and also has the benefit of improving the angle of engagement (AoE) i.e. the pickup angle of the piston, reducing piston wear.
