Colt 1911 (Co2 NBB), The Colt 1911 is one of the most famous pistols around, used by Military and Law Enforcement agencies around the world due to its exceptional design

The Colt 1911 is one of the most famous pistols around, used by Military and Law Enforcement agencies around the world due to its exceptional design. It is also a pistol favoured by Hollywood heroes, from Steven Segal's many pony-tailed heroes, to Sylvester Stallone's anti-heroes...any many more. It's just one of those guns that's everywhere you look.

As the name suggests, it was created in 1911, and is still in use today. As you can imagine there have been quite a few tweaks over that time, though the core of the gun has remained the same. Virtually every real steel manufacturer is making their own rendition of a 1911. Some of the differences will be changing the calibre, altering the grip profile (making it wider/slimmer), extending slide catches, ambidextrous safeties and adjusting trigger pull etc.

This particular airsoft version is modelled after one of the more modern variants. It features an M9-style of trigger, and moulded ambidextrous safety levers (note: these are only aesthetics - this gun's safety is on the right side above the trigger). The grip is closer to that of a 2011, or in airsoft terms as a Hi-Capa. It features a squared off trigger guard for superior purchase, as well as a tactical RIS/RAS rail allowing you to mount tac-light, laser etc.

Co2 powered, this pistol is non-blowback - the slide does not move and is fixed in place. What this lacks in realism it makes up for in economy - you get an impressive 150 shots per Co2 caplet, versus 40-50 in a GBB. What is unusual about this piece is that the Co2 is stored in the pistol's grip as opposed to the magazine, which makes the magazines a lot easier to carry. It also means that you're not wasting Co2 on shots you haven't fired - just reload the magazine with BB's and away you go! Installing the Co2 is the usual affair - remove the allen screw on the bottom of the grip, slot in your cannister and tighten it back up; that's it! Co2 is sold separately

If you're looking for a practical and economic side-arm, or just a gun you can plink away with in the comfort of your own home, this is the gun for you
