The era of World War II has been a mainstay in film and TV for decades. Due to it being largely a war of technology, the equipment of WWII has a cult following, leading to its popularity in airsoft.

The Mauser KAR98K is manufactured by ARES, and constructed out of steel and real wood furniture. This gives it an impressive heft, and incredibly realistic feel. The bolt action is smooth, and feels authentic, and it is a joy to use from start to finish. It is constructed out of plastic, cutting down on the weight, and making it more practical, but the attention to detail is superb.

Cracking open the crate, your brand new rifle is stowed in grease-proof paper, leading to an unboxing experience like no other.

This rifle is fed from a removable magazine, holding 20 BB's. To preserve the authenticity, the magazine has faux bullets on each side, making it look fantastic. It also makes it more practical, as you're not dealing with shells flying out (or jamming). The body is constructed out of laminated wood, and 95% of the rest of the gun is constructed out of stainless steel, making this a heavyweight beast, with unprecedented realism. It is a museum-grade replica in every sense of the word.
