Straight out of the minds of Sci-Fi writers, the CSR XR-5 is an unsusual gun. Not based on any real world counterpart, it is instead inspred by the great science fiction of our generation (games, film, TV etc)

Built on a standard V2 gearbox, you retain large compatibility for upgrade parts. The externals are all injection moulded, and give a truly unique appearance. The XR5 Battle Rifle looks superb, and feels excellent in your hand. Best of all, it is compatible with M4 STANAG magazines.

The fire selector and controls are based on the M4, making it intuitive for most people when they pick it up for the first time. Powered by battery (not included), the battery is stored in the front handguard. You can fit 8.4v NiMh or small 7.4v Lipo batteries with relative ease.

One of the nicest parts of this rifle is although it is a futuristic design, reminiscent of Halo, it retains the modern sensibilities e.g. top RIS/RAS rail for scopes/sights, side rails for flashlights/lasers etc, and bottom rail for grips or grenade launchers etc. Similiary, the barrel is threaded 14mm CCW for tracer units or silencers.
