Many seasoned airsofters switch their guns from Tamiya connectors over to Deans (also called T connectors) as they have lower resistance, and are more reliable. That said, Tamiya is still the most common, so if you've ended up with a Deans battery and have a Tamiya gun, you may not want to switch the connections over.
