Tracer BB's are specially designed to work with tracer units, giving you an advantage in low-light conditions. They're made out of a special glow in the dark material, and are usually available in red or green. Green Tracers have more widespread compatiblity, and due to them being more visible in the light spectrum, are easier to see. It is important to ensure that your tracer unit is compatible with the BB's you plan on using (i.e. make sure its capable of illuminating red BB's if you're buying red tracers).

For use in-game, we recommend mixing them with regular BB's in a ratio of 1:4, so that you can see where your BB's are going, withou t turning it into a straight line pointing back to your position. As with standard BB's, Tracers are available in a variety of weights, however the most common are 0.20g and 0.25g. When mixing BB's, for best results ensure that the weights match.

0.25g BB's are the firm-favourite of the ardent airsofter - they are far more stable than the standard 0.20g, and although they move slower (i.e. the BB takes longer to reach the target), the improved consistency is worth it. Due to the increased mass, they're not blown off-course as easily, and they have more impact when hitting your target (especially at longer ranges). Due to the increase in weight, although they are compatible with virtually every airsoft gun, it is not recommended to use in Budget Airsoft Guns. 0.25g BB's will typically need more hop-up applied to lift, and as such your hop up will wear out sooner, however the benefit is that you're using less ammo to hit the target.
