Novritsch McMillan TAC338 (Limited Edition), Sniper rifles are one of the coolest weapon types around, and are incredibly popular thanks to their use in film, TV, and of course, video games

Sniper rifles are one of the coolest weapon types around, and are incredibly popular thanks to their use in film, TV, and of course, video games. A mainstay due to their accuracy and performance, although the trade off is fewer rounds, and slow fire rate. But this is airsoft, and since it's predominantly about looks, we can leave practicality at the door.

An airsoft sniper rifle will shoot the same distance as an assault rifle, however it is typically quieter, more consistent, and most important of all, it's a sniper rifle. That may sound redundant, however the overall look of what you choose to use is key. Internally they are all much the same - you have a sear that latches the piston, and you're doing the majority of work with the bolt action (pulling the bolt to the rear cocks the piston, and pushing it forward loads a BB). Due to the relative lack of moving parts, they are significantly quieter than electric or gas powered rifles.

The spring power, or manually cocking nature, of the rifle means there are no batteries to charge, nor any gas to run out of - your rifle is ready to use when you are. Simply load the magazine up with BB's, and you're good to go. The maximum distance a BB can travel is typically 50 meters, however for man-sized targets, you'll usually be around the 20-30 meter mark. These rifles are ideal for target shooting out the back garden, or if you're set on a different style of play, for airsoft sniping.

Sniping in airsoft is a completely different pace - since you won't have additional range, it is generally about getting into a good position, staying hidden, taking your shots, and moving on before you're discovered. Field craft is essential. You have the edge on silence, and with a good secondary, if you're getting overrun, you can make your last stand with pride.

Novritsch is a famous internet celebrity in the world of airsoft, and using his experience and expertise in the field, the Novritsch brand was born. Addressing the concerns, gripes, and issues plaguing the airsoft scene, the goal was to create products that deliver on their purpose, and providing platforms to facilitate easier upgrades, and better out of the box performance. Based in Austria, the company has become one of the biggest players in the airsoft space. They utilise OEM's to produce their products, however they have an exacting standard that must be reached, so it is not a case of simply rebranding. From sniper rifles, to AEG's, pistols to GBBR's and gas guns, with Novritsch you have additional quality control, greater attention to detail, and thanks to the parts availability, you can keep your gear running strong for a long time.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Novritsch, there is an extra special release - the McMillan TAC338 Chris Kyle-approved super grade SSG-24. Only 1000pcs will ever exist, each with their own unique serial number.

Officially licensed, this rifle has deeply engraved McMillan trademarks. Quiet by design, you have all the great features of the SSG-24. Integrated two-stage trigger; 90 degrees and constructed out of hardened steel. The first stage is adjustable, providing lightweight travel. The second stage increases the weight; short and crisp, providing tactile feel for exactly when the shot will  break. The barrel has been increased in length, for a more tactical look.

In the box you get the TAC338, certificate of owership, speedloader, and cleaning rod. Scope and bipod are NOT included (pictures are for illustrative purposes only).
