The Specna Arms EDGE series are widely regarded as some of the best airsoft guns on the market, and for good reason. You get a factory-fitted GATE ASTER trigger unit, paired with a speed trigger, giving up unprecedented performance, with an unbeatable feature set.

The E-12 is a compact M4 Assault Rifle, with metal RIS/RAS handguard, giving you a virtually uninterrupted top rail. As it is a quad rail handguard, there is plenty of space for accessories e.g. flashlight, laser, PEQ15, grips, grenade launchers etc. Constructed out of metal, the body on this rifle is superb - it has deeply engraved Specna Arms trademarks, and thanks to the scratch resistant nano coating, it will stay looking pristine for longer. Out of the box, you have a pair of flip up BUIS (back up Iron Sights), which fold away for when you want a clear sight picture (if using optics). The pistol grip is more ergonomic, offering superior grip, and greater comfort in use. You also get 2x S-Mag midcaps in the box.

But that's all externals...where the EDGE 2.0 does the heavy lifting is on the inside. You have a V2 8mm Bearing Orion Gearbox; it is reinforced, and has a quick spring change mechanism, making it far easier to take down for upgrades/maintenance or repairs. The air seal components are aluminium, with dual o-rings for superior consistency, and you have a set of steel gears with polycarbonate piston (complete with steel teeth). The trigger system is a factory-fitted GATE ASTER, paired with a speed trigger, giving you greater capability out of the box. Better current transfer, increased reliability, and more control. Thanks to the optical sensors, you have a huge range of trigger sensitivity.

Beyond the gearbox, you have a factory fitted high torque motor, for excellent trigger response (especially when combined with the GATE ASTER). Further up the chain, you have a rotary hop up chamber, with pre-fitted Helium Flat Hop bucking, for superior consistency, and that is paired with a 6.03mm tightbore barrel.
